SHH Dormitory

Located in Muar, Johor, the SHH Dormitory was developed to provide quality accommodation for up to 648 employees, creating a comfortable and supportive living environment that promotes well-being and community. Designed with simplicity and functionality at its core, the project reflects a contemporary approach to workforce housing, balancing practicality with a welcoming residential character.

The four-storey dormitory is conceived as a compact and efficient residential development, characterised by a minimalist architectural language. A clean white palette complemented by blue-grey accents gives the building a light and understated presence, creating a timeless aesthetic that enhances its residential identity while maintaining a sense of visual clarity.

A key design priority was the quality of the living environment. Generously positioned windows throughout the accommodation spaces maximise the penetration of natural daylight and promote cross-ventilation, resulting in bright, airy interiors that contribute to occupant comfort and well-being. These design considerations not only enhance the overall quality of life for residents but also foster a healthier and more pleasant communal living experience.

Internally, the dormitory is equipped with thoughtfully planned facilities and amenities designed to support the daily needs of its occupants.
